News from our EVVA bees

News | 18. January 2024.

The harvest of our EVVA honey was collected as early as the end of July from the farm of our beekeeper Thomas Zelenka. The cold weather in spring and early summer dampened expectations for the honey harvest, as the flowering of many trees was greatly delayed. In some cases, our bees even had to be fed during this period.

Fortunately, summer came and the 2023 honey harvest was saved! Thanks to the many blooming lime trees nearby, our hard-working bees were able to collect a lot of nectar in June. This year, our 5 EVVA bee colonies collected a total of 110 kg of organic flower honey which equates to around 22 kg per colony. Our honey is once again of the best quality this year and will soon be bottled in jars.
