DPS is the first profile that EVVA designed for individual profile customers. EVVA partners, such as security and locksmith businesses were allowed to sell these keys to customers under their company's name. EVVA used the DPI (Double Profile Integrated) variant, which was launched onto the market in 1995, in the plant’s locking systems. DPS/DPI satisfied the market demands for a cost-effective, yet secure system – with several independent, overlapping security levels: Length profile, cross profile and pins. Drilling and scanning protection were integrated as standard.
