A mechatronic access solution combines mechanical and electronic locking technology in a building. Electronic systems are primarily used on the perimeters of the building and where event logs and schedule-based access are important; interior doors are usually equipped with mechanical components.

Both mechanical and electronic access components can be locked with just one key, the combi key. The combination key is available in different colours. The coloured marking makes it easier to assign the key.

Electronics can also be retrofitted

Whether in existing doors or in extensions of the property, electronic access components can also be retrofitted into a mechanical master key system. This not only increases security, but also reduces recurring costs due to the reduced administrative effort.

Mitterbach mountain railways: high up with EVVA

All doors in the more demanding ski resort in Mitterbach were equipped with Xesar and 3KSplus from EVVA. The project was managed by the experienced EVVA Partner Jürgen Hirsch from Amstetten. The combination of mechanical and electronic locking systems for the mountain railways resulted from the different requirements of the many external doors, for example to maintain the funicular. The greatest advantage here is the system's flawless operation even in extreme weather conditions. Brand–new, combined keys ensure optimum use – they open the extremely durable 3KSplus cylinders in addition to all doors secured with Xesar. 3KSplus is distinguished by its unique and patented springless operating principle.

amRietpark: Maximum security with Xesar and 4KS

Living, shopping, relaxing: all this and much more combines the Quartier amRiet park into one unique and secure place, which offers an extraordinary standard of access technology thanks to Xesar and 4KS. Around 1,200 4KS cylinders, 1,700 combi keys, 80 Xesar cylinders and 55 Xesar wall readers - two of which are online wall readers - were installed there. The requirements were varied, and the combination of security and comfort was specifically achieved here by combining mechanics and electronics in one project. The combined master key system is managed together with the Tertianum retirement and nursing home, which has been rented for 30 years. Due to the forward-looking planning and the perfectly matched combination of the two systems, a good all-round solution was found for convenient access, but also for the convenient management of the varied access situations.
