External certifications and awards confirm the high quality, reliability and user safety of EVVA products and machines. In addition to valuable external expertise, certifications also give us the assurance of always being up-to-date.
Selection of existing EVVA certifications:
EN 1303. All mechanical EVVA systems are tested and certified according to this standard by external testing and certification institutes. EN 1303 is the basis for national tests in many countries, such as DIN and VdS in Germany, ÖNORM in Austria, SKG in the Netherlands, SSF in Sweden, BSI in the UK, Trezor test in the Czech Republic, etc.
- EN 15684: Our mechatronic cylinders in the Xesar and AirKey access systems are externally tested and certified according to this standard. Like EN 1303, it serves as a European specification for local certifications
- EVVA systems are therefore tested and certified internationally. They meet the highest standards in terms of:
> durability (100,000 locking cycles),
> fire resistance (the locking cylinder must withstand 90 minutes of fire resistance),
> corrosion resistance (the cylinder must still be operable after 96 hours in a salt spray chamber)
> or attack resistance (the cylinder must be able to withstand a drilling attempt and a core pulling attempt for several minutes)
- At the same time, EVVA carries out additional internal usability tests that are not required by standards, such as intensive function and free-wheel tests. For more information, see Quality
- After these successful certifications and internal tests, EVVA subjects its new systems to further practical testing with real users in field test facilities
- ISO 9001 “Quality Management” is a standard that ensures product and process quality through regulated procedures. It defines requirements for securing company, product and process quality. EVVA Managing Director Stefan Ehrlich-Adám: "EVVA was one of the first companies to receive the important ISO quality certificate in 1993. In the industry, we were even the very first in Europe. This gave us a head start, as these awards have since become increasingly important for customers and organisations and more decisive for contracts. New standards and new technologies, such as the use of AI, remain an ongoing challenge to keep our company fit for the future."
- External energy audit according to EEffG (Energy Efficiency Act) and EN 16247 (European standard for energy audits). Certified auditor “Mann Engineering” reviews EVVA’s energy balance and energy efficiency every 5 years – the next audit will take place in 2029.
EPD (Environmental Product Declaration)
EPDs are voluntary environmental declarations for individual construction products that show the environmental footprint of buildings. They include data on energy and resource consumption over the product life cycle. EPDs are a decision criterion in the construction of so-called "green buildings", which must meet strict specifications. In the security industry, EPDs exist for all building hardware (e.g. locking cylinders). EVVA has already won many green building projects using its EPDs, including the Prime Tower in Zurich and the Austro Tower in Vienna.
- Austria: EPD Mechanical Locking Cylinders_Locking Systems AT_DE; EPD mechatronic escutcheons and cylinders AT_DE
- Germany: EPD Mechanical Locking Cylinders_Locking Systems DE_DE; EPD mechatronic escutcheons and cylinders DE_DE
