In the last issue, we presented the new EMZY (electronic motorised cylinder). The 3rd generation EMZY with Bluetooth offers a wide range of application and sales options and is the ideal addon for mechanical and electronic access systems. We would now like to present Office Mode and other features of the I/O Box in more detail.
 

Save money with Office Mode
Office Mode can save money, as an electric door opener is simply no longer required. Office Mode is simply selected during installation in the EMZY app. In “Day” mode, EMZY permanently retracts the latch so that the door remains open, while the latch locks in “Night” mode. Switching between modes is easy with the mode switch. This makes EMZY a clever solution for offices and shops requiring a reliable, versatile electronic door lock and wanting to save costs at the same time.
 

Does more than you can imagine: The I/O box
The I/O box enables EMZY to be connected to your burglar alarm or fire alarm system, your escape route guidance system or your access control system. It can be integrated into multiple third-party systems through multiple input and output relays. It can be integrated into the escape route guidance system, for example. In the event of danger, all doors in the escape route are unlocked. Alternatively, it not only arms the alarm system but also sets EMZY to “Locked” mode at the same time. Simply brilliant. Connect the alarm system to the EMZY input of the I/O box. This means that the building can be secured and locked with an alarm at the push of a button. Is the door closed? Is the lock locked? EMZY can also signal its door status to the alarm system via door and bolt contact. However, the I/O box can also be used to control completely different things. For example, as soon as EMZY switches to “Locked” mode, all lights, the heating or the air conditioning system are also turned off. This reduces energy costs in a safe way.
