Akura 44 Flexibility and security

Press | 27. July 2021.
Maximum flexibility with a mechanical locking system - EVVA makes this possible with the new Akura 44 mechanical access system.

Known for its many innovations and patents, EVVA is presenting Akura 44, another technical milestone in mechanical access systems. "The requirements placed on security, flexibility and investment security in modern residential buildings in particular are excellently met," explains Alexander Scharinger, Product Manager of Akura 44 at EVVA.

The specially developed short cylinder with six active and ten passive pins in the cylinder makes no compromises in locking system planning and security. The key can also be optionally extended with a magnetic pill. Thanks to EVVA’s tried-and-tested magnetic technology, the sophisticated EVVA innovation protects against unauthorised 3D printing.

Ranging from electronic locking systems to drilling protection

As EVVA strongly focuses on product innovations in terms of uniting electronic and mechanical products, this new mechanical system can also be combined with the EVVA electronic locking systems. The corresponding combi key enables locking of both electronic and mechanical access components, thus controlling who enters and exits where and when. The classic cam lock for mailbox systems can be easily integrated into the locking system, and Akura 44 also offers padlocks in its range. A key switch can easily be installed for electrically operated equipment, such as shade sails or roller shutters for ground floor premises. All variants combined in an Akura 44 master key system ultimately result in one key for everything : for outside and inside areas as well as for electronic and mechanical access component due to optional copy protection with variable security levels.

New product brand and new production line

As part of this product innovation, EVVA is also introducing a new brand nomenclature for the mechanical locking systems sector with "Akura". The symbolism of the word reflects the adjective “accurate” and stands for the precision and the absolutely perfect, accurate combination of the individual parts.

The innovative reversible key system is manufactured in the new production line, which is being built in the extension of the EVVA location in Vienna. With the optimisation of the production process, it will be possible to significantly increase the production capacity of the new Akura 44 cylinders in the future. Stefan Ehrlich-Adám, CEO of the EVVA Group: "Thanks to the expansion of our company premises, we now finally have the capacity to meet demand." The new system also impresses with efficient and cost-optimised production, which in turn enables a good price-performance ratio. Combined with easy installation thanks to the completely new modular system with fewer components for different lengths, Akura 44 is a highly competitive product, especially in residential buildings.

"As a family-owned company, we are committed to our employees and partners. This is why we are clearly focusing on the continuous innovation and improvement of our products, so that we create added value for the future," Stefan Ehrlich-Adám is pleased to report.
