Helping the most vulnerable in our society

Children need a safe future. As a family-owned company, the protection of the most vulnerable members of our society is particularly important to us. Every year, the company and its employees donate to the “möwe child welfare centres”. The association provides abused children with support and free therapy. For us, it is investment in the future of our society.

EVVA has been supporting möwe since 2010 with

  • management's own fundraising activities,
  • revenue from internal IT flea markets,
  • prize money from awards won,
  • Income from the charity bar at the EVVA Christmas parties,
  • Funding campaigns as part of running events
  • or with sales revenue from cookbooks created by employees themselves.

In recent years, more than 70,000 euros have been raised. In 2024, a further EUR 5,000 was added, which will directly benefit the initiatives of möwe. "You can dedicate your time to many valuable challenges. We decided for ourselves that we would help those who are too young to help themselves – children.

Further EVVA support:

  • Photo of employee with donation collectionsCommitted employees organise regular aid initiatives at EVVA. The donation collections are very successful: The non-cash donations made available by our employees, such as clothing, baby food, sleeping bags, warm blankets, lamps, kettles, etc., are taken directly to charity collection points in several transports (see photo). Helping to alleviate the immediate need of those in need

  • Wings for life. EVVA employees from all international locations take part in the Wings for Life World Run every year – and with a growing number of participants. EVVA will take over the start-up funds in Vienna, which will benefit the goal of this global running event: healing of cross-sectional paralysis

  • Cooking for people in need: The "Gruft" ("crypt") is the oldest homeless shelter in Vienna and is run by the Caritas, a social aid and service organization of the Roman Catholic Church. It offers many homeless people emergency shelter and hot meals. EVVA colleagues again prepared and served a hot lunch at the Gruft during the reporting year (photo below). They give their time and social warmth – EVVA provides the cooking ingredients
