The Wet Science Building of the National University of Singapore (NUS) - Let the mind flow like water. Let the cylinders be secure like EVVA.
|Facility type:||Educational facilities|
The National University of Singapore (NUS) is indisputably at the apex of all universities in the Asia-Pacific and belongs to the best universities worldwide. Much like its quality education, the NUS prides itself on being a precision-controlled environment for scientific progress. Particularly, the NUS Wet Science Building- one of the most recent additions to its campus – embodies this spirit of excellence. The Wet Science Building includes state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities integrating smart building technologies to maximise its water education and technology (wet) sciences programme. Besides the laboratories, extensive room was given for seminar and administrative spaces, as well as areas for student interactions throughout the building’s 16 floors.
While the design of its laboratories exemplifies safety and sustainability; its architecture drew inspiration from water and flow, embodying connectivity, responsiveness, adaptability, and resilience – all requisites for a collaborative research environment. Similarly, the NUS Wet Science Building demanded the same features from the cylinders for its access control system. And only one cylinder manufacturer who could fulfil these needs came to mind – EVVA!
Providing high security and comfort, while simultaneously allowing for master key systems with clear structures required for its almost 35,000 m² facilities, the EPS keys and cylinders of EVVA were the right solution for the NUS Wet Science Building. Equipped with over 500 EPS cylinders and the support of BJ Development – one of EVVA’s local partners in Singapore – the NUS Wet Science Building can rely on a product and provider who are willing to go the extra mile.
