On 25 June 2007, the city was hit by a major thunderstorm that brought heavy rain and hail. It devastated the EVVA building in Vienna: large parts were flooded! Shortly before 4 pm massive hailstones had blocked the drains in our guttering. This caused a large amount of water to run down the walls. The staff really saved the day: thanks to the resolute help of numerous colleagues, we were able to drain the water within only a few hours. Also the management, who were there at the time, helped energetically with the clean up! By the way, you can still see the water residue in the lift shaft. So, the thunderstorm also had a positive effect: It brought the EVVA team even closer together.
